Golden opportunity for Master Class students

Art Gilding Sydney were invited to gild a glass sculpture in the Beach Gecko Studio in Joondalup WA.
Once erected on site it will ultimately stand over 5 meters tall.
It has been a pleasure to be part of this amazing project.
With the help of student Lorrie, we completed the gilding with 24 carat gold leaf on the inside as well as the outside of the bowls in one week.

When we had some free time, we went to Perth to revisit the Pan Pacific Hotel to see the finished ceiling of the Golden Ballroom which we did many years ago with our Master Class students Rima and Michael.
I remember the Hotel owner could not believe that we used Faux Silver leaf (Aluminium leaf) instead of Faux Gold leaf.
When gilding had been completed, the ceiling had been sprayed with a tinted glaze by the on-site Painting Company.
We can be very proud of the great result we all achieved.
