Restoration of a 23 Carat Gold Leafed Buddha
When large cracks appeared around the neck area of the Buddha, our client tried to soak the timber with Linseed oil. In the process she took the gold leaf off.
On completion of the restoration and gold leafing the happy client could hardly believe her eyes, to get the Buddha back looking almost as original as when they bought it 20 years ago.
Stage 1: The Buddha before restoration

Stage 3: Buddha finished with antique patina restoring it close to original finish
