Sydney Town Hall Clock

It has been 21 years since we worked on the Sydney Town Hall interior. As the Town Hall was undergoing restoration and was currently covered in scaffolding it was decided that was the perfect time for the clock face to be re-gilded. The heritage architect working on the project, Peter McKenzie, has discovered that the Sydney Town Hall original clock face had three rings of gold leaf and so we restored it to match the original. As part of our Master Gilding teaching program we invited one of our students to work on the project with us.
